Thank you for voting on the War Heroes cover contest. I really appreciate it!

Wizard will announce next week the finalists for round 2.

This is my first time entering a contest of the sort and it's been an "interesting" process.

The first Round 1 of the voting was canceled due to a technical loophole where a voter could vote more than once.

The second Round 1 had an improved voting application, but there were still some irregular voting patterns in some of the heats. I hope that Wizard resolves these technical issues for the sake of the finalists in Round 2.

As it stands, I finished in second place of Heat 8 which is a vast improvement over my results for the initial Round 1 of voting.

The best part of the contest as been the feedback I received from comic book fans. I got a slight spike in traffic on my gallery, a couple new 'watches' and 'faves' and the opportunity to interact with others via the comments section. And that makes it all worth it!

The "War Heroes" comic book cover contest has been restarted due to a huge technical loophole where voters could vote multiple times.

I want thank everyone who voted on the War Heroes cover contest hosted on Wizard Universe's website. As some of you may already know, Wizard used a polling application provided by freepolls.com to conduct the popular vote. There seemed to have been a multitude of glitches with the voting - e.g. Heat 1 got deleted, loopholes in the application allowed for block voting/multi voting, etc.

I guess we are all waiting for additional information from Wizard on how they wish to proceed.

As it currently stands, I felt short of making the trip to Round 2 by 19%.

I really appreciate the comments left on Heat 8 of the contest and the emails I have received from friends and family. Regardless of all the technical glitches, the sometimes unsavory comments, I still had a great time.

And good luck to Hector Daniel Perez in round 2 of the contest!

As for me, I am now working on a Supergirl drawing. Next is Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
